Hello there! I'm a passionate 5th-degree Black-belt under the esteemed Ricardo De La Riva and a true lover of “The Gentle Art” of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. My journey began back in 1993 with Master Cyrillo Gomes at Ilha do Governador. By 1994, I'd joined the iconic De la Riva Team, and by December 2000, I proudly wore my black belt, a gift from Professor Ricardo De La Riva himself.

Back in the day, in 1996 to be exact, I was allowed to start teaching even as a blue belt. The mats have always been my second home, a place of teaching, learning, and personal growth. My commitment was such that I would sometimes drive a whopping 2 hours just to teach in Angra dos Reis, especially during my Purple belt days.

1999 was another milestone: as a brown-belt, I joined hands with Professor De La Riva to establish De La Riva Porto Alegre. Fast forward to 2006, and I launched FVTEAM. My passion then took me to the United States in 2011, where I coached Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the renowned Blackzilians MMA Team. By 2013, I took the helm as the Head Coach of Team Nogueira Orlando.

And the adventure didn't stop there! In 2014, I embarked on a unique journey to the United Arab Emirates. I was honored to lead the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program across Abu Dhabi’s 12 military bases.
